We're ready to go but Jetblue is not. We've hit our first delay ... about an hour. We'll be taking off at 12:30 ish and the getting out of New York at 2:50 (Lord willing).
Here's Ben. He's happy. He's going to be taping and texturing drywall and ceilings and teach some of our students to do it too.We had lots of parents here saying goodbye. Ted Smith came out to wish us well and led the group in prayer for the trip.
Heather liked the gift shop but since we're in Portland we only have one shop to look at.
Jake Groom has cool work sneakers with steel toes and thick soles. And he was on time too! Yay Jake!
Amanda is eating Starburst. She was sleeping until she got pelted by nerds. (candy nerds).
Shara took these pictures. Michael has a deflated soccer ball in his carry on and George got a haircut.
Laura is eating a rice krispie bar and Kristan is eating a Kit Kat and Sarah is eating mini Teddy Grahams. I guess everyone is hungry. Sarah just noticed that it's all the girls eating and not the guys. I bet that's because the guys didn't pack snacks.
Rus brought the smallest piece of luggage. It's a little bigger than a carry-on. We want to know how he got everything to fit in there!
The TSA agent who was checking our bags goes to the Vineyard and was asking all of us about the Christian bands we listen to. Check-in was very easy. They were ready for us and it went quickly. Pray that the same will be true when we return.
Robin is eating M&M's.
Maybe we'll be able to update again at JFK but now our layover there is shorter so we'll see what happens.
