Twenty-four of us headed to New Orleans July 7-15 to work on rebuilding homes that were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. This blog reflects some of what we encountered.

WOW!!! The pictures are great!
I wanted to share this with you all. Tonight after our prayer time driving home the song Open Arms by M. W. Smith came on ... please let me share the words with you and realize as I listened to them I thought of you all the whole time -
Many people
In the steeple

You all ARE being the open arms of God reaching the lost and hopeless in New Orleans ... you ARE shining like the sun, showing them the cross. God is giving you the chance to love, to point others to Him, and I'm so excited to see and hear all that God does in your lives as you minister in His name.
Thank you for leaving the walls of FBC and for being His Open Arms!
