We are very proud of you all. We miss you a lot but know you are doing what God has intended. I am hopeful you will all be able to continue to grow closer to one another and closer to the Lord. By the way, would anybody be available to help me sheetrock next week? Amanda? Kelsey? Just kidding, it's hard to keep the humor out. Praying for you all.

Hey Guys...Wow the pictures are incredible...I think its so crazy that houses look like that almost 2 years later...Hard to believe there are those who think that all the work has been finished down there. How sobering!!!

Heard day one went well...a bit warm! Talked to Sarah this morning and she was sweating just waiting in the parking lot at Home Depot. There is no sweating going on up here. Today 65 and rainy...It is 58 right now and raining. Apparently the rest of the country is under heat advisories, my boss talked to her daughter in Boston today...85 and hot. Not sure what the deal is with the weather here! Oh well!

So, I had a meeting a church tonight...on my way out Vern Howell asked how you guys were doing! I gave him an update and he told me the cutest story. Apparently his 8 year old grand-daughter Lizy ( Jen and Craig Printy's Daughter) was at his house on saturday. They started talking about missions and Vern told her that a group from church was at the airport on their to a missions trip. She said yeah they are going to help Katrina victims, she then said grandpa...we should stop and pray for them right now...so they did. After they prayed for you guys vern took the postcard off his fridge and told her that each of you had prayer partners and that he and Barbara were praying for jake groom, she said that she probably wasn't asked to be a prayer partner because she was too young. she then studied the picture and picked out one person that she recognized, Laura Mason and told vern that she was going to pray for Laura this week...

Just wanted you all to know that people of all ages are praying for you!

I hope day 2 goes well and isn't too hot! Get some rest.

Love you and miss you

Thank you so much for these pictures. Adam and I love looking at them over and over.
I have been praying for each one of you--for your heart, your mind, and for your strength to come from God. Remember, His ways are different than our logical thinking sometimes--in 2 Corinthians 12:9 God says, "MY power works best in your weakness." So I encourage you to take God up on His promise and see how He shows His strength through you.
Many of your families are meeting tonight for supper and prayer. Please be thinking of any requests that you have. We'll try to call you around 6:30 (that's 5:30 for you).
"May our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who loved us and in his special favor gave us everlasting comfort and good hope, comfort your hearts and GIVE YOU STRENGTH IN EVERY GOOD THING YOU DO AND SAY."
2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17
