When the idea of a missions trip first came up, it was out of the question for me. Going to New Orleans would be far from home and a lot of work. I didn't think I would be able to do it. When I heard about an open spot on the team, I was nervous, but I considered it. I went to a meeting about the trip that evening and the excitement everyone had about going was contagious. I knew then that I wanted to be a part of this great cause.
While I am there, I hope to build stronger relationships with everyone on the team and also with the Lord. I am looking forward to meeting the people who live there and making a difference in their lives. I am so glad we are being given this great opportunity to help those in truly need.

I'm SO excited Laura's going... she's going to be a great part of the team!
Laura,
I'm so glad you had this opportunity. I am sure it will be life-changing for you. There is no better way to minister for Christ than to reach out to His hurting, needy body. You are doing that as you serve the people who went through Katrina.
I'm glad I got a chance to see you and your family back at Memaw's and Pepaw's home. I love the picture I took of your family.
Hugs to you ~ Aunt Eileen
