Missions has always interested me, whether it's local service projects, out of state or out of country trips. I love being able to lend a hand in helping others so as soon as I heard about our trip to New Orleans, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Participating in other trips and service projects has allowed me to see God's power and just how much He can accomplish through His people. I'm excited to see how he'll use our team. Although I'm extremely excited about this trip, there are still a few things that make me nervous (heat, humidity and the fact that I don’t really know anything about construction), but I know that through my fears, doubts and obstacles, God will strengthen my faith and trust in Him. I'm looking forward to being stretched and challenged. I want to fully rely on God and walk away from this trip knowing that God can do anything through me when I allow him to have control of my life. I'm excited to see how each person on our team will be used and what I'll learn from them. I'm looking forward to strengthening relationships and learning how to work as a team. I hope that our team will be able to reflect Jesus in everything we do and I pray that we'll be able to bring these people hope and share the love of God with them.
Thanks so much to all the Prime Timers who aren't coming on the trip who have still dedicated so much time and effort. You guys are a huge part of our team and we couldn’t do any of this without your support! Thanks to everyone else who has supported us with prayers or finances. We really appreciate all your help and again, we couldn’t do this without you! Please continue to pray for us, we're definitely going to need it!
