At 6:45 am on Monday morning we met to bring all of it out into the front parking lot to begin the sale which began at 8:00. Early birds showed up shortly after 7:00 to begin setting aside their treasures.
By 9:00 am our free car wash was in full swing. When people learned of our cause they routinely gave as much as $10 to have their cars washed.
Generosity was the theme of the day! One woman bought a small, glass, bobble and wrote out a check for $100 to help us help Hurricane Katrina victims. Wow!
We had no "large-ticket" items to offer, yet, at the end of the day our total stood at $2040.77. We're sure the Lord has big plans for us in New Orleans. He's provided more than we had hoped or dreamed.

Awesome job, guys! God is going to bless you and the people of LA.
I just looked over all the pictures and read all of your reactions to all that you have seen and done since arriving in New Orleans and I have to say, I am so touched by all of what God is doing in and through you. You all are exemplifying exactly what I read this A.M. in the 31 days of praise. You're not there to increase your possessions, to impress people, to be popular, to prove you're someone important. You are simply there to please God. Thank you for taking these words from paper and putting them to action. You are all a great power of example for those of us who are here watching. Blessings, Patti Camp
